What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is used for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients following injury, illness, surgery or disease, but is also invaluable for injury prevention and maintenance of the healthy patient.
Regular checks can identify areas of stiffness, soreness or weakness in muscles and joints which can then be addressed before they cause a problem.
The goals of physiotherapy are to:
- Restore mobility of the joints and muscles
- Return or enhance function
- Manage acute or chronic pain
- Improve strength and fitness
- Improve quality of life
